This privacy policy describes how Wecipecollects, uses, and protects your personal data when using the mobile application and the wecipe.app website.

  • URLs of the videos you wish to extract
  • Recipes you save

  • Anonymous technical device identifier
  • Application and operating system version
  • Crash and performance data (anonymized)
  • Device language and region

2.3 Data we do NOT collect

  • No biometric data
  • No GPS location data
  • No content from the photo gallery (without your explicit action)
  • No external web browsing data

3. Purposes of processing

Your data is used to:

  • Provide and improve the application services
  • Manage your user account and saved recipes
  • Process your PRO subscriptions (via Apple App Store)
  • Contact you in case of technical issues
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent use

4. Legal basis

The processing of your data is based on:

  • Contract performance: provision of the Wecipe service
  • Legitimate interest: security and service improvement
  • Your consent: for marketing communications (optional)

Your data is kept for the duration of active account use, then archived for 3 years after the last activity, unless otherwise required by law. You can request the deletion of your account at any time from the application (Settings → Delete my account).

Your data is transmitted via HTTPS (TLS encryption). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) — each user only accesses their own data.

The mobile application does not use cookies. The website wecipe.apponly uses strictly necessary technical cookies for site operation (no advertising or third-party tracking cookies).

Any substantial modification to this policy will be notified by email or by in-app notification. The version in effect is always accessible on this page.
